We're pleased to have the tides on our side again tonight, so with a 7.43pm high we can get back into the brine. Unfortunately there's a stiff southerly breeze already filling in (see http://skylink-pro.com/remote-index.php?domainname=southendlifeboat.org&keyword=rnli) which might make conditions slightly challenging for some, but surely can't be as much as last time (!) so should make for another fun splashabout at Chalkwell (www.supsect.com/chalkwell-beach nearest postcode, SS0 8JJ). We're looking at a 6.30pm launch but anytime you can make it is cool as we're not going anywhere, there'll be plenty of water all evening and probably a bit of wind-blown chop to play about in. Plus social media phenomenon and Fanatic demo-dude extraordinaire Jay 'J-SUP' Manning is up from darkest Kent with some stuff for anyone with a paddle to try out... Afterwards, we're planning to do the teenager thing again and hang around on the green for a bit – so bring your own drinks and sausage rolls (or whatever doesn't need cooking as it's looking a bit breezy for successful BBQing).
