On Saturday 5th August, the audience is in for a treat with The Sit Down Comedy Club Brisbane presenting the comedy stylings of the hilarious Steven J. Whiteley Comedy and the outlandish Dave Eastgate and Boner Contention!

Nicknamed “The Bogan Prince of Australian Comedy”, Steven J. Whiteley has performed with the likes of Stephen K Amos, Ed Byrne, Adam Hills, Steady Eddy and Jimeoin, to name just a few. He now performs extensively on cruise ships around the world, but likes to tour Australia when he’s back on home soil. His natural style and off-beat observations on almost every topic including Facebook, Australian town names and even dinosaurs have had audiences everywhere roaring with laughter!

Dave Eastgate is a Sydney-based actor, stand up comedian, writer and musician; and is one of the stars of Channel 9’s smash hit drama series, Doctor Doctor. His other television credits include the multi -award-winning ABC comedy series, A Moody Xmas & it’s sequel, The Moody’s, as well as Maximum Choppage, Soul Mates, Ronnie Chieng: International Student and Channel 9’s comedy series, Here Come The Habibs!

Stand up comedy remains Dave's staple though, and he tours extensively around Australia and internationally in NZ, UK, US, Singapore and even in the Middle East for the Australian Defence Force. Dave has shared the stage with the great Robin Williams during his Australian tour, has played sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival & performed at the UK's biggest heavy metal festival 'Download'. In addition to these feats, Dave has supported international comics such as Arj Barker, Rich Fulcher, Jim Jefferies, Jeff Ross and Ross Noble.
