UFC197 will be headlined by a much-anticipated rematch that will see Daniel Cormier defend his Light Heavyweight title against Jon Jones in what will be the former champion’s first fight back from a tumultuous 2015 that saw him get stripped of the title following a hit-and-run accident.
The two men initially collided at UFC 182 in January of 2015, which saw Jon retain his 205-pound title against he former Olympic wrestler by walking away with a dominant unanimous decision win.
This time around, the stakes are much higher, as “Bones” looks to prove to the world that he is indeed the best 205-pound fighter on the planet, while Cormier looks to silence his naysayers by going out and demonstrating why he truly deserves to have the strap around his waist.
