Lab22 is proud to offer, in association with Cardiff Cocktail Week and Portobello Road Gin, The 3 Martini Lunch, to kick off Cardiff Cocktail Week 2017!

The 3 Martini Lunch was the epitome of indulgence and class amongst high flying businessmen and lawyers in 50's America but how did such an iconic cocktail become a household name and firm favourite throughout the world?

Portobello Road Gin, UK Brand Ambassador Paul Gillian takes you through the history of this cocktail icon and shows you how to make the perfect vintage Martini along the way. While the exact history of the Martini might be a little cloudy, Paul will take you on a tour of some the most iconic bartenders of the last 150 years including the original celebrity Bartender Professor Jerry Thomas through to Harry Craddoc and his take from The Savoy Cocktail Book in 1930 through to the Modern era with a twist of the classic from The Distillery where we create our Iconic Gin.

This interactive journey will also include the rise of the Vermouth, a staple for all good Martini's but often misunderstood or all together cast aside. A session not to be missed for all cocktail lovers and a chance to relive the 3 Martini Lunch of the past!

This 2-hour journey will begin at 18:30 and tickets cost just £15 for 3 cocktails and a little bit of history, all before kicking off the Cardiff Cocktail Week Launch Party with live music at 9pm!
