‘SWEET REBECCA’ is the brand new solo offering from one of Australia’s country leading ladies, Beccy Cole, released on 10th April 2015 through ABC Music/Universal.
Produced by acclaimed producer/musician Shane Nicholson and recorded at Soundhole Studios on the NSW Central Coast, ‘Sweet Rebecca’ is Beccy’s tenth studio album. For the first time, Beccy has written on every one of the album’s twelve tracks, and has teamed up with some of Australia’s most prolific female writers including Sara Storer, Gina Jeffreys and Libby O’Donovan.
‘Sweet Rebecca’ is a mix of heart-on-sleeve acoustic ballads and memorable melodies, along with a dash of Beccy’s trademark humour. It’s Beccy’s most daring and genuine album to date.
A 9 x Golden Guitar winner, Beccy Cole has been at the fore of the Australian country music landscape for the past twenty years. She has achieved three Gold records, 14 Australian Country Chart #1 singles, 7 Songwriting Awards, and claimed two Entertainer of the Year awards. In 2012, Beccy earned her 4th ARIA Nomination for Best Country Album for her record ‘Songs and Pictures’.
‘Poster Girl’ is Beccy Cole’s much anticipated autobiography, revealing her triumphs, career highlights and very funny stories which will have some fellow Australian artists and musicians ducking for cover! This extraordinary account of Beccy’s life will not only highlight her exceptional career, but also take the reader into the depths of her personal life. There are chapters of ‘Poster Girl’ that read more like a thriller as Beccy reveals the sometimes rough and rocky path of her journey.
Down to earth, honest, brave and so very funny; Beccy Cole is the real deal. Don’t miss ‘The Poster Girl’ live in 2015.
