Party: Open House: Sugar Swing Ballroom

Sugar Swing Ballroom is building a brand new home for jazz, dancing, and music in Edmonton. We want you to come see it at our open house! This is a fun, low-pressure, and free way to check out swing dance as well as Edmonton's newest event rental space.

The new Sugar Swing Ballroom will be Edmonton’s only dedicated home for social swing dancing, and a hoppin’ venue for plenty of live jazz to keep us moving. Plus, our studio will provide affordable rehearsal and classroom space for artists, dancers, and musicians of all kinds! It's a pretty unique place, which you can explore on February 24th. We'll be running tours throughout the weekend along with free drop-in "taster" dance lessons. Speaking of 'taste', there will be snacks at the dance Friday night!

This event is for everybody -- newcomers, beginners, and regulars! Come check out the facilities of Sugar Swing, take a free drop-in lesson or two, meet some of our people, see some demos, and try some social dancing.

Tours and taster lessons happen during the day, and during the evening we'll be running our social swing dance, which you're also welcome to attend! Throughout the night we will be featuring a number of demos of Lindy Hop, Tap, Jazz, and more!

Social dancing until 11pm or later

We will have a complimentary spread of snacks throughout Friday evening! Sodas, teas, coffees and other non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased at our Corner Pocket Cafe!
