Mark Maxwell b2b w/ Yaron (Endless Race)

Join us for a night with one of Glasgow’s finest selectors, Mark Maxwell (AKA Mother) of Rubadub and Heated Heads fame. Over the years he’s played alongside and warmed up for some big talents, including Container, Shackleton, Opal Tapes, Scion and many more.

Named Mother after his mother (from whom he still needs to get permission to play out), Mark’s sets draw on an unpredictable gamut of sounds. Mark knows how to bring it on fast and furious when he needs to, or confidently slow and moody when he wants. He can delve into the headache-inducing nether regions of Acid Techno as consummately he can balance spacious dub, lethargic tribal sounds and demented Italo mutations (or something).

Mark will be playing back to back with Yaron of Endless Race, who've hosted the likes of Hieroglyphic Being, Opal Tapes, Bell Towers, Daniel Wang and, most recently, Public Possession at a packed Nice N Sleazy's. From him you can expect the more leftfield echelons of disco, some messy house, embarrassing dad Italo, filthy techno and heavenly jazz.
