Stand-up comedy is alive in Lafayette, and there's no show in town quite like this one. Dead Cell Comedy Night features a list of local and out-of-town open micers, as well as regional and national headliners, every Sunday at JP's Bar, presented by Dead Cell Comedy, and hosted by John Merrifield.

About the headliners:

Laura Sanders, of Columbus, Ohio, pretends she’s not a graphic designer by day. She’s been featured on Fox's LaughsTV, and featured in such acclaimed lineups as Chicago’s Comedians You Should Know, LA’s Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen, Wilmington's Cape Fear Comedy Festival, and New York’s She Devil Comedy Festival. She recently changed the name of the dog she’s lived with for four years just to “f*ck with him.”

Justin Golak hails from Cleveland and resides in Chicago. He’s recorded two popular comedy albums (“Influenced” and “Rosemary’s Baby”), and features in clubs throughout the Midwest. He’s been named a Person to Watch by Columbus Alive magazine and has been a featured performer in the Cleveland Comedy Festival. He once ate two boxes of Velveeta Shells & Cheese in one sitting just to prove that he could--he had to pretend that it made him sick to his stomach.
