This course, previously known as the VHF/HF radio operators course, is to enable operaters of vessels equiped with LR/SR radios with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) capabilities to be familiar with operating proceedures and regulations, particularly relating to Distress, Urgency and Safety.
Including simple maintenance and repair of minor faults to keep radio equipment in good working order and a basic knowledge of Australian Marine Search and Rescue.
