Pete van Sint Jan is an experienced singer/musician who can adapt to many different music mediums. He currently performs with the duo/band Serotonin who in 2010 released their debut album “NEXT TO ME”. The title track was used in 2011 for promotion of the final of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
Based in the Blue Mountains and with a repertoire of over 800 songs he currently performs four nights a week in venues around Sydney, the mountains & beyond! He also entertains on a regular basis for corporate events, weddings & birthday parties and with his smooth vocal range and relaxed style on the guitar, puts a smile on everybody’s dial!
From 2000-present he has performed over 700 times in 8 different shows for Theatre Lote Fantastique as part of Theatre in Education (TIE), in schools all over Australia. Pete helped develop a one man show called “Sur La Route” for high school students in French & English, which won the award for ‘most popular show in 2005’ from the Dept of Education & Training. Pete has played an active role in writing both the scripts & original music for past, present and upcoming bi-lingual shows.
Employed as singer/entertainer at festivals around the country as well as various locations around Sydney. The Sydney Opera House, CBD Hotel, Bondi Hotel, The Brass Monkey, The Fortune Of War Hotel, Freeway Hotel, The Lenin Bar, Coogee Bay Hotel, Jack Duggans Irish Pub, Fairmont Resort, Penrith Panthers to name a few. Pete toured internationally as a soloist from 1989-1991 throughout USA, France, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Poland, Israel, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and India with various organisations.
Pete’s acting experience to date ranges from TV programs through to music theatre & film. Some of these include: Four Corners, The Alien Years & The Sun and The Stars (ABC). Also Home & Away, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Cyclone Tracy, Sunrise and Harp In The South (ATN 7). Singer & actor in the 1983 production of The Sound Of Music, Regent Theatre starring Julie Anthony (played the role of Kurt).
